SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a liquid formulation for the introduction of nicotine in the form of a free base or a salt thereof. Composition consists of: (I) from 12 to 28 wt. % of water; (II) at least 70 wt. % of propylene glycol; and (III) from 2 to 10 wt. % of said nicotine in form of a free base or salt thereof. Said liquid does not contain glycerine and ethanol. Present invention also relates to a method of administering nicotine in the form of a free base or a salt thereof into a human body by inhaling an aerosol of said liquid composition. Also described is an aerosol generation device and a reservoir for such a device containing said liquid composition.

EFFECT: according to the invention, the liquid composition containing nicotine provides minimizing visibility of the created aerosol, better retention in the oral cavity and respiratory tract.
