SUBSTANCE: in order to prevent long etching process, it is proposed to manufacture surface structure by stacking metal layers on top of each other according to the invention. To this end, at least once pattern is applied to cover partial regions and at least once metal layer is applied to uncoated regions to create surface structure consisting of bulges. In this case, both separate steps of method are repeated as often as needed until necessary depth of structure is reached. By means of the final processing method, surface can, for example, be rounded or provided with hard chrome layer.
EFFECT: invention relates to method for manufacturing surface structure on press tool, in particular pressing plate, endless belt or embossing roll.
