FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polyolefin composition, a film made using same, including the manufacture of a biaxially oriented film. Polyolefin composition contains: A) from 19 % by weight to 50 % by weight of an ethylene-propylene copolymer with content of ethylene units of 1.5 % by weight to 6.0 % by weight; B) from 50 % by weight to 81 % by weight of an ethylene-propylene-1-butene terpolymer with content of ethylene units of 1.5 % by weight to 6.0 % by weight and content of 1-butene units ranging from 4.8 % by weight to 12.4 % by weight; where the sum of component A) and B) is 100; composition characterised by the following properties: molecular weight distribution (MWD) expressed as a ratio Mw/Mn greater than 4.0; the maximum value below 53x10-4 1/Pa, between 600 and 1,200 seconds, the creep curve and the reduction curve measured on the molten polymer at 200 °C in accordance with the procedure given in the characterisation section.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a polyolefin with the necessary molecular weight distribution and films based on thereon with high performance properties.
