FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to copolymers of propylene and 1-hexene for use in film production. Disclosed is propylene and 1-hexene copolymer containing 5.7 to 7.7 wt. % units derived from 1-hexene, having solubility in xylene at 25 °C of from 7.0 wt. % to 15.0 wt. %; melting point, measured in DSC, ranging from 143.0 °C to 148.0 °C; melt flow rate (MFR), measured in accordance with ASTM D 1238, 230 °C/2.16 kg, ranging from 3.5 to 8.0 g/10 min; content of links obtained from 1-hexene in fraction soluble in xylene at 25 °C of 13.5 wt. % to 18.5 wt. %. Also disclosed are a film and a biaxial oriented film containing the disclosed copolymer.
EFFECT: technical result is the disclosed copolymer enables to obtain films with low turbidity and low temperature of the beginning of welding.
