SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for sorting bulk material, preferably pellets, comprising a vibrating conveyor apparatus and a feeding device for feeding bulk material to the vibrating conveyor apparatus. Device according to the invention also comprises a first output and a second output, wherein the first output is configured in such a way that the bulk material, conveyed over the end of said apparatus, drops into it. Device further comprises at least one detector apparatus capable of analyzing the bulk material, conveyed by the vibrating conveyor apparatus, for the presence of defects. This apparatus, in turn, comprises at least one X-ray detector device with at least one radiation source and at least one radiation detector. In addition, the detector apparatus comprises at least one optical detector device operating in a visible range and / or in an infrared range with at least one optical radiation source and at least one optical detector. Device according to the invention also comprises a separator capable of controlling the trajectory of the bulk material, which is identified by the detector apparatus as defective and is conveyed over the end of the vibrating conveyor apparatus, so that the bulk material identified as defective drops into the second output. At the end of the vibrating conveyor apparatus, a rotatable roller is connected by means of which the bulk material conveyed over the end of the conveyor apparatus is fed in the direction of the first output along the trajectory defined by the roller rotation. Invention also relates to a corresponding method.
