FIELD: plastic processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus and method for use in autoclaved curing of a composite billet. Billet made of composite material having an internal cavity is placed on a device and covered with a vacuum bag for autoclave curing. Bladder is placed in the cavity to counter the pressure of the autoclave on the billet. Bladder is connected to an elastic fluid reservoir located below the vacuum bag. Pressure in the bladder is created by autoclave pressure, applied through the vacuum bag to the elastic fluid reservoir.
EFFECT: invention enables higher quality of produced articles.
