SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for performing mass exchange processes in heterogeneous liquid-solid particles and liquid-liquid systems (for example, dissolution, dehydration, emulsification, extraction), especially for processes in which solid particles tend to form large, hardly soluble pieces, for example, formed during the absorption of atmospheric moisture or when a solid is in contact with a liquid, and after dissolution of the solid phase, the process of interaction between a heavy concentrated solution and unreacted light liquid continues, or when a polydisperse mixture of particles forming a dense precipitate, including a gel-like one, is suspended. Invention can be used in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food, biotechnological and other industries. Pulsating apparatus contains a vertical housing with a pulsating tube placed therein with a gap formed with the bottom. Source of pneumatic pulsations is connected to an upper end of the pulsation tube by means of a pulse line. Pulsating tube is stepped with a transition from a larger diameter pipe in the upper part to a pipe of a smaller diameter at the bottom. In an annular gap between the pipes of larger and smaller diameter, a ring with nozzles is hermetically sealed in the lower plane of the larger diameter pipe. Nozzles are arranged uniformly along the circumference of the ring and are directed downward with alternating angles to the vertical 5–10° and 25–60°.
