FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mass exchange processes in heterogeneous systems fluid-solids and fluid-fluid to be used in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food, biotechnical and other industries. Pulsator comprises vertical housing accommodating the tube arranged with clearance between bottom. Air pulsations source is connected to tube upper end. Tube lower part is stopped by cover. Branch pipes are uniformly fitted over tube part dipped in fluid. Axes of branch pipes fitted at the cover are perpendicular to its surface while those at the tube are located horizontally or downed at 0° to 70°. Ratio of clearance between tube and bottom to tube diameter makes 0.5-2.0. Method of pulsator operation consists in generation of resonance medium oscillations therein. Angular frequency and power of air pulsations source are set by design equation.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
