FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: use for the measurement of frequency spectra of the complex dielectric permittivity of substances in the frequency range from 0.01 to 15 GHz. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the method for measuring the frequency spectrum of the complex dielectric constant in the frequency range from 0.01 to 15 GHz is based on the measurement and calculation of the frequency spectra of cascade-specific scattering matrices, includes: measuring the characteristics of a coaxial measuring cell filled with a reference substance with a known frequency spectrum of the complex dielectric constant; finding the characteristics of the segments of the cell located to the left and to the right of the segment intended for filling with the investigated substance; measurement of the characteristics of the coaxial measuring cell filled with the test substance; calculation of the characteristics of a section of the measuring cell filled with the substance under study; calculating the dielectric constant of the dielectric filler, while using a coaxial measuring cell with a symmetric scattering matrix. It is possible to more accurately measure the frequency spectra of the complex dielectric permittivity of substances in the frequency range from 0.01 to 15 GHz.
