FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostics of railway transport objects, in particular to methods for controlling insulation of locomotive electric motors. Method for assessing the reliability of the insulation coating of the armature of the traction motor windings, implemented on a test rig by applying the insulation test composition to a thin elastic plate in a frame in which forced oscillations are excited by the vibrator. On the plate, spatial waves of dynamic deformation of the coating are made of the powder under the conditions of electromagnetic fields, moving the point of application of the force perturbation, observe the formation of deformation zones having the form of the Chladni figures, and give an estimate of the reliability of the coating under investigation. Device for evaluating the reliability of the insulation coatings of the armature of the traction motor consists of a base, a frame mounted on it, inside which there is a vibrator, elastic thin plate in the frame with the insulating coating applied, located at the top and fixed on the frame, camera. Vibrator is driven by electromagnetic waves generated by the electric motor, the position of the vibrator being varied by means of the position table in one plane in two directions.
EFFECT: evaluation of durability and reliability of insulation coatings under conditions simulating the complex nature of dynamic loads.
