FIELD: electric transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric transport, namely to power semiconductor rectifier-inverter converters of single-phase alternating current, which performs conversion of alternating current of industrial frequency to constant one. Said power semiconductor rectifier-inverter converter of single-phase alternating current is intended for supply of traction electric motors of electric transport. Technical result is achieved by using power semiconductor devices IGBT-transistors or other fully controlled electronic switches and diodes connected in series to each other in rectifier-inverter converter, forming eight power arms of a fully controlled full-wave converter of single-phase alternating current with an additional ninth discharge arm, which is necessary to maintain current in traction motors for period of converter disconnection from traction transformer. Proposed converter provides four-zone voltage control supplied to traction motors. Control of the power rectifier-inverter converter is carried out in traction and regenerative braking modes and consists in the fact that IGBT-transistors are switched on by drivers with some angle from the alternating voltage of the network through zero, and closing depends on electric transport load current value and is variable value by time, which is made on the basis that transistors switching-off is always performed at minimum instantaneous values of mains voltage ΔU1 taking into account duration of current switching, providing angle of phase shift between current and network voltage equal to zero, as well as symmetry of alternating current relative to network voltage, while achieving maximum power factor in modes of traction and regenerative braking.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of electric energy for traction of electric transport and after-commutation voltage outbursts in rectified current circuit, which will allow to use snubber circuits of lower power.
