FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing equipment and can be used when conducting a comprehensive assessment of the state of the insulating coating of the windings of electric motors of locomotives. In the method, a sample of the insulation coating is heated and the force required to destroy it is applied. Then the test sample of the insulating coating is subjected to vibration, sound pressure and temperature, after that the intensity of the impact is increased until the defects appear on the sample, the results are recorded and compared with the reference values of the destruction of the wear-resistant coating, after which the adhesion strength of the insulation coating is evaluated. Said device contains a high-frequency acoustic speaker with a frequency generator and a sound amplifier for controlling the sound pressure attached to it. Said speaker and heating element are mounted on racks on top relative to the test sample of the insulation coating, a vibrator with grippers for the sample of the insulating coating is installed on the base, a video camera records the obtained results and has the ability to move.

EFFECT: ability to simulate the modes of intensive operation of a traction engine.
