SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. To prevent temperature changes in a zone for heat treatment of pipes, the pipe treatment method comprises: first step of placing, in the inner cavity of the pipe through at least one hole made therein, at least one expansion element with a feed pipe, made of a flexible material, and its location on at least one side of the heated portion of the pipe by means of an air flow generated in the inner cavity of the pipe; second step of supplying fluid through a flexible feed pipe to at least one expansion element with inflation of the expansion element and overlapping of the internal cavity of the pipe on at least one side of the heated portion of the pipe; third step of heating the pipe portion by supplying an electric current to the induction coil, located on the outer surface of the heated portion of the pipe while simultaneously covering at least one side of the heated portion of the inner cavity of the pipe by means of the expansion element.

EFFECT: prevention of temperature changes in a zone for heat treatment of pipes.
