FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely a controlling apparatus (9) used to control the flow of liquid medicinal product within a flowing channel (20), an outpatient infusion apparatus and a method for controlling the administration of a liquid medicinal product into the body by a flow channel (20). The controlling apparatus includes a flow detector (1) functionally connectable to the flow channel (20) and configured to generate signal depending on the flow in the flow channel (20) at the point of flow detection. The controlling apparatus contains a gas detector (8) functionally connectable to the flow channel (20) and configured to generate signal depending on whether there is liquid medicinal product or a gas in the flow channel (20) at the point of gas detection which is located along the flow before the point of flow detection at a distance. The controlling apparatus contains a processing unit (90) functionally connected with the flow detector (1) and the gas detector (8) and configured to determine based on the signal from the gas detector whether there is non-moving liquid medicinal product present at the point of flow detection or there is a gas bubble passing by the flow detector if the signal from the flow detector is not indicating the flow of liquid medicinal product. The outpatient infusion apparatus contains a connector for a liquid apparatus intended for detachable connection in operational configuration with the mating connector of the liquid apparatus (2) containing the flow channel (20). The outpatient infusion apparatus contains a drive unit (4) of a pump configured to supply liquid medicinal product from the medicinal product container (5) via the flow channel (20) for administration to the patient. The outpatient infusion apparatus contains a controlling unit (6) of a pump configured to control the drive unit (4) of the pump for uninterrupted administration of the medicinal product according to the time-variable speed of the infusion by basal delivery. The outpatient infusion apparatus contains a controlling apparatus (9) functionally connected with the controlling unit (6) of the pump. The method includes generation of signal by the flow detector depending on the flow in the flow channel (20) at the point of flow detection. The method includes generation of signal by the gas detector depending on whether there is liquid medicinal product or a gas in the flow channel (20) at the point of gas detection which is located along the flow before the point of flow detection at a distance. The method includes determination based on the signal from the gas detector whether there is non-moving liquid medicinal product present at the point of flow detection or there is a gas bubble passing by the flow detector if the signal from the flow detector is not indicating the flow of liquid medicinal product.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the improvement of the situation regarding the use of flow detectors, particularly thermal flow detector for inspection or control over administration of a liquid medicinal product into the body by an outpatient infusion system.
