FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves using device for reducing excessive intraocular pressure by improving fluid drainage via Schlemm's canal and in the canal itself. The device has basic part manufactured from biocompatible material. The basic part is curved so that partially open trough-like passage running along a part of mentioned basic part length is formed. The passage is built so that its open side is turned towards eye collector tubules. External diameter of the basic part is 0.1-0.5 mm long and the basic part is 1-40 mm long. At least one dilating device is set in Schlemm's canal.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; physiologically normal passage built for draining aqueous fluid.
