SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a connecting system, in particular to a flange connector for air channel modules of various cross-sectional shapes from a thin steel, aluminum or copper sheet, a sheet of their alloys or plastic sections or the like, including connecting flange (34, 35) of the air channel flanges, a flange connector consisting of locking pin (5) with head (9) and body (6), and also from locking wedge (8), which can be inserted into insertion slot (7) of body (6) and presses against the other flange, head (9) and locking wedge (8) respectively having horizontal pressing surfaces (13), as well as insertion slot (7) and locking wedge (8), respectively, have facing each other wedge surfaces (10, 14) with locking stop wedges (11, 15) extending along longitudinal axis (LA) of locking wedge (8) surfaces when inserting locking wedge (8) into insertion slot (7). This problem is solved due to the fact that locking wedge (8) includes: a) predetermined fracture/inflection portion (17) facing insertion slot (7) which is connected to wedge surface (14) of locking wedge (8) by means of a predetermined break/bend point (22), b) drive-in section (19) facing away from insertion slot (7), on which are located two spaced-apart and transversely to the longitudinal axis (LA) of locking wedge (8), located one above the other openings (formations) (28, 29) for the central distribution of the driving force, and c) intermediate portion (20) disposed between the predetermined break/bend portion (17) and drive-in section (19), on which at least two arranged one behind the other spaced apart from each other and in the transverse direction to the longitudinal axis (LA) of the locking wedge (8) openings (30, 31) are provided for the purposeful separation of the driving force in the direction of wedge surface (14) and horizontal pressing surface (13).
EFFECT: it is an object of the invention to improve a connecting system of an appropriate type in such a way that the connecting system is also suitable for connecting the angular regions of the air channel modules, the weakening of the connecting system is reliably prevented, and at the same time the mounting is facilitated.
