FIELD: ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to explosion-proof assembly (10) with explosion-proof housing (11) having wall opening (23) in housing wall (12). Thickness (d) of body wall (12) is so small that there can be made a thread for screwing of connecting element (15) for cable entry or for arrangement of assembly, which would provide resistance to flame breakthrough. According to the invention, connecting element (25) having flange (38) with flange surface (39) is inserted into wall hole (23). Flange surface (39) with housing wall (12) limits gap (58) safe with respect to flame breakthrough. Dimensions of gap or intermediate space between connecting element (25) and limiting wall hole (23) edge surface (24) of body wall (12) are not important. Resistance to flame breakthrough can be obtained only by means of gap (58) safe with respect to flame breakthrough between flange surface (39) and housing wall (12).
EFFECT: providing explosion protection at reduced thickness of the housing wall.
