FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used during off-furnace treatment of steel by circulation evacuation. Method comprises creating a deep vacuum in the vacuum chamber, filling it with metal through a suction pipe and dispersedly introducing inert gas along the height of the suction pipe, where the inert gas is introduced by using a constant and pulsating flow. Suction pipe is fed with an inert gas stream, obtained by pre-mixing the constant and pulsating flows, wherein the pressure of the first stream is 15 atm, pulsating flow is fed at a frequency of 100–1000 Hz, and the volume of the pulsating flow varies from 10 to 90 % of the total volume of gas stream.
EFFECT: invention provides improved quality of the metallic melt by increasing the degree of oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen removal, grinding of structural components and greater homogeneity of the resultant metal, and also processing time reduced by 10 %.
