FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to the tubing industry, namely the manufacture of seamless cold-deformed pipes of Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium alloy, and can be used for the manufacture of products of responsible use. Method of manufacturing cold-deformed Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium alloy pipes includes the machining of a hot-formed cylindrical billet, hot pressing of the workpiece at a heating temperature TH=TPT-k⋅ε⋅υsd, not exceeding the temperature TPT polymorphic α→β-transformation, where TPT – temperature of polymorphic transformation, °C, k = 0.15÷0.20 – empirical coefficient, taking into account the influence of deformation heating, °C⋅s/mm, ε – logarithmic degree of deformation, υsd – speed of displacement of the deforming tool during pressing, mm/s. Then, a mechanical treatment and cold rolling are carried out with a degree of deformation of 40 to 44 % to produce a pipe, with intermediate and final thermal treatments carried out in a vacuum.
EFFECT: required mechanical properties of the pipes are ensured by the ultimate strength and relative elongation due to preservation of the microstructure of the initial billet, an increase in the output yield coefficient, while reducing the labor input of the technological process and the costs of production.
