AIRWAY PORT UNIT BLOCKED WITH PRESS BUTTON AND METHOD FOR USING IT Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61M16/04

Abstract RU 2523151 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. According to the first version, an airway access unit comprises a distal place, a proximal plate and a starter switch adjoining at least one plate. The distal plate has a port configured for a functional connection to a patient's artificial airway. The proximal plate comprises the first port and the second port. The distal place is arranged opposite the proximal plate configured one above the other. Each plate is configured to be moveable. The starter switch interacts with at least one plate to enable the motion of at least one plate, when the starter switch is arranged in a position enabling the motion. The starter switch interacts with both plates to block plates in the fixed position when the starter switch is arranged in the blocked position so that the plates are blocked in the pre-set position in relation to each other. The starter switch comprises a blocking section configured to extend into at least one port when the starter switch is arranged in the position enabling the motion, and removal from one port when the starter switch is found in the blocked position. According to the second version, the airway access unit comprises a distal plate, a proximal plate and a tool enabling the combined plate motion and blocking so that the plates are moveable in a number of the pre-set positions and blocked to be released in each of the pre-set positions. The distal plate has a port configured for a functional connection with a patient's artificial airway. The proximal plate comprises the first port and the second port. The distal place is arranged opposite the proximal plate configured one above the other. Each plate is configured to move in relation to each other. When the tool is found in the position enabling the motion, the plates can move, and when the port of the distal place and the first port of the proximal plate move to fit together, the tool is found in the pre-set blocked position so that the port of the distal plate and the first port of the proximal plate fit together axially in the first open position so that the object can move through these ports with the second port of the proximal plate arranged in the closed position. The tool comprises the starter switch adjacent to the distal and proximal plates. The starter switch interacts with the plates to enable the motion when the starter switch is found in the position enabling the motion. The starter switch interacts with the plates to block them in the fixed position in relation to each other when the starter switch is arranged in the blocked position so that the plates are blocked in one of a number of the pre-set positions. The starter switch comprises a blocking section configured to extend into at least one port when the starter switch is arranged in the position enabling the motion, and removal from one port, when the starter switch is found in the blocked position.

EFFECT: inventions provide a multiple access to the intubated patient's respiratory apparatus with no risk for the closed circuit of the system and without interference with a ventilation gas flow to the patient, and also provides an access other than by limiting an access to the closed respiratory system through one or more access sections for the patient's lung ventilation with gas or gases, for aspiration of lung discharge, lung oxygenation for eliminating or relieving the residual content of nitrogen dioxide therein, visual inspection of the selected portions of the patient's respiratory apparatus, sampling sputum and gases to measure such parameters as a flow rate, pressure and(or) temperature for irrigation with solution(s) and prescribing a therapeutic agent, gases and(or) irrigation.
