FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymeric composite materials, namely to two-component paint coatings based on epoxy binders, which can be used for anticorrosion protection of metal structures in corrosive environments. Suspension for the modification of epoxy-based paint materials for improving anticorrosion properties is intended for introducing into an epoxy-based paint material in an amount of from 7 to 15 wt% and includes a film-forming agent – an epoxy resin, a solvent, a dispersant that is a modified polyurethane, a cationic surfactant and multilayered carbon nanotubes. As the cationic surfactant, an aqueous solution of the quaternary ammonium salt can be used, a mixture of xylene, butyl acetate and acetone or ethyl cellosolve and toluene can be used as a solvent.
EFFECT: technical result is increased protective properties and resistance to aggressive environment of epoxy-based paint and varnish material, and as a consequence, extended service life of metal structures.
