SUBSTANCE: method of forecasting the state of the coast includes a preliminary survey of the coastal zone, the identification of indicators of its condition, using which predict the long-term state of the coast. Forecast the probability of occurrence of a tsunami near the estimated area of the coastal zone, for which sites are identified, potentially dangerous by the appearance of a tsunami, and then near these areas, Within the limits of a close geomorphological level, the presence of studied archaeological monuments with verified age is revealed. After this, using the materials of the layered description of the archaeological site and their temporary binding, predict the probability of a tsunami. In the absence of precipitation brought by the tsunami, it is concluded that during the period of the existence of the archaeological monument, near its dislocation in the estimated areas of the coastal zone, the tsunami did not manifest itself. When detecting precipitation, brought by the tsunami, a conclusion is made about the time of occurrence of tsunamis and / or their periodicity. In addition, archeological monuments are used for forecasting with an age not less than a predetermined prediction period.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to predict the likelihood of a tsunami or a storm of high altitude in areas of the coastal zone in the absence of long-term observational results; in addition, in the case of the presence of previously completed descriptions of the relevant coastal monuments, the complexity of the declared prediction procedure is minimized.
