FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting. Partially solidified workpiece is processed by vibration in the secondary cooling zone. Vibrational oscillations with the circular direction application along the workpiece axis at a distance of 0.4–0.6 of the molten metal hole depth creates optimal conditions for the dendrites breaking off formed during the metal crystallization.
EFFECT: enabling improvement of the continuous cast workpieces quality.
