METHOD FOR PREDICTING DELIRIUM AFTER EXTENSIVE ABDOMINAL OPERATIONS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/04

Abstract RU 2661626 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is a method of predicting delirium after extensive abdominal operations, including the determination of the level of permanent potential (PP), characterized in that the level of PP is determined in the postoperative period immediately after the termination of the central action of anesthetics, recovery of consciousness and neuromuscular conduction, and at its value from -15.0 mV to -29.9 mV determine a low risk of the incidence of postoperative hypo- or hyperactive delirium; at PP level of -30 mV and below predict an average risk of hyperactive delirium; and at PP values from -14.9 mV and higher – a high risk of hypoactive delirium.

EFFECT: method provides reliable prediction of delirium after extensive abdominal operations.
