METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE SEVERITY OF ADHESION PROCESS IN THE ABDOMINAL CAVITY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B5/107

Abstract RU 2661727 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to surgery, and can be used to assess adhesive processes in the abdominal cavity in order to determine indications for surgical aid by laparoscopy. Total value of prevalence of adhesive process in all abdominal cavity parts are defined in points: presence of adhesions; intestinal obstruction indicator; total number of adhesions in all abdominal cavity parts in points; morphological characteristics of adhesions in all abdominal cavity parts. Severity of adhesive process is calculated using a mathematical formula. Depending on the obtained value of severity of adhesive process, laparoscopic adhesiolysis is considered possible and safe, or possible, but it is associated with technical difficulties and intestine damage probability, or inappropriate.

EFFECT: method allows determining the severity of adhesion process and advisability of laparoscopic adhesiolysis by assessing the severity of adhesion process in the abdominal cavity, taking into account the intestinal obstruction degree determining the indications for laparoscopic access.
