FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves revising abdominal cavity organs with morphological type of every commissure being determined. Dimensions are determined for each type of commissures to enable one to calculate their volume. Total volume of commissures showing the level of commissure formation process development is calculated from the following formula: 
where V is the volume, l is the commissure length, d is the commissure cross-section area, h is the commissure thickness. The total commissure volume being greater than 0.585, high activity of commissure formation process is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: high accuracy and simplicity of the method.
