METHOD OF APPLICATION OF MARKER PROTEINS FOR ESTIMATION OF ECOLOGICAL STATE OF THE ENVIRONMENT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2661739 C1

FIELD: biology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biology and can be used to assess the ecological state of the environment. For this purpose, live samples of organisms living in an aquatic environment are sampled with subsequent identification of the species composition of organisms using marker proteins by the method of enzyme immunoassay. Thus, the amount of marker proteins of each of the indicator organisms in the sample to which antibodies are obtained is determined. Then, the amounts of marker proteins contained in the sample of indicator organisms are summarized and the frequency of occurrence of indicator organisms is calculated in the sample by dividing the amount of the marker protein of each organism by the total number of marker proteins of all organisms in the sample, then summing up the products of the frequency of occurrence of each indicator organism on its indicator weight and obtain the total indicator weight (TIW) of organisms in the sample, in accordance with which the ecological state of the environment is assessed. With TIW less than 0.5, the environment is assessed as being extremely clean and safe; with TIW of 0.5 to 1.5, the environment is assessed as clean and safe, not requiring environmental protection measures; with TIW of 1.5 to 2.5, the environment is assessed as slightly contaminated, requiring environmental protection measures as far as possible; with TIW of 2.5 to 3.5, the environment is assessed as moderately contaminated, in need of environmental protection measures aimed at eliminating certain types of contaminants and the consequences of their actions; with TIW of 3.5 or more, the environment is assessed as dirty and unsuccessful, in need of urgent implementation of integrated environmental protection measures.

EFFECT: invention provides for timely implementation of environmental protection measures based on the results of the claimed method of environmental monitoring.
