FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly to a method and system for producing carbon dioxide (435), purified hydrogen (213) and electricity from reformed process gas feed (205) using solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) (2), the method and system comprising the steps of: introducing reformed process gas (205) into SOFC (2); in SOFC (2) converting hydrogen and carbon monoxide of reformed process gas (205) in combination with oxygen into anode off-gas (208) comprising steam, carbon dioxide and unconverted process gas; introducing anode off-gas (208) into high temperature water gas shift reactor (8); in high temperature water-gas shift reactor (8), converting carbon monoxide and steam into carbon dioxide and hydrogen, introducing gas (216) exiting high temperature water-gas shift reactor (8) into low temperature water-gas shift membrane reactor (4), in low temperature water-gas shift membrane reactor (4), converting carbon monoxide and steam into carbon dioxide and hydrogen, whereby low temperature water-gas shift membrane reactor (4) comprises hydrogen pump (9) that produces purified hydrogen (213) on permeate side (41), while removing hydrogen from feed side (44).
EFFECT: high efficiency of the process for producing carbon dioxide and electric energy from reformed process gas.
