FIELD: foundry; powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: for use in a 3D printer. Material comprises a plurality of metallic microparticles having an average cross-sectional length from about 1 mcm to 250 mcm, wherein the metallic microparticles comprise: a plurality of metallic nanoparticles having an average cross-sectional length smaller than or equal to about 50 nm, and a stabilising material on the external surfaces of said nanoparticles, wherein the stabilising material comprises an organic amine, a carboxylic acid, thiol and derivatives thereof, xanthic acid, polyethylene glycols, polyvinylpyridine, polyvinylpyrolidone, or a combination thereof.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling the use of the material in laser or electron-beam sintering.
