FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder composite materials intended for 3D printing by layer-by-layer selective laser sintering. Proposed is a powdered composite material based on ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene for 3D printing by selective laser sintering, characterized by that it is obtained by in situ polymerisation by polymerisation of ethylene on the surface of the aluminium oxide filler particles activated by the catalyst, to form ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with a molecular weight of ≥2.5⋅106 in the form of a coating on the surface of filler particles, contains filler in amount of 65 to 81 wt.% and has the following characteristics: shape of particles of powder composite material is spherical or close to spherical with dimensions from 20 mcm to 80 mcm, Hausner ratio is not more than 1.20; and powder sintering window during selective laser sintering of not less than 7.8 °C; and a method of producing the disclosed powder composite material.
EFFECT: creation of powder composite material, which will have rheological and morphological characteristics presented to powders for SLS printing, as well as increased temperature range of sintering (sintering window).
