SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vehicle seat having a multi-contour system with a massage function using an alloy with shape memory effect. Vehicle seat comprises a seating surface, a plurality of polymeric mats, each including a memory metal encased therein, an electrical source operably coupled to the memory metal. Seat also includes a controller in communication with the plurality of polymeric mats and configured to deliver a predetermined electrical input to the memory metal of each polymeric mat, and an air bladder disposed below the plurality of polymeric mats. Polymeric mats are configured to move to an arcuate position in a deformed state, and the air bladder is configured to form surface irregularities corresponding to each polymeric mat.
EFFECT: providing uniform and smooth adjustment of the system in accordance with the personal preferences of the passenger.
