FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: device for storing and transporting fresh or frozen food, in particular for thermally insulated containers, comprises at least one heat accumulator associated with a respective inner wall of a container and comprising a plurality of longitudinally extended heat accumulation modules. Each of the modules comprises an enclosure that delimits a cavity adapted to contain a heat accumulation liquid. Cavity accommodates a heat exchanger that can be supplied with a heat transfer fluid. Heat accumulation modules are mutually connected mechanically and thermally. Enclosure has a first wall that faces the inner face of container (7) and has a substantially flat surface, and a second wall opposite the first wall, is directed towards the internal compartment of the container, having an at least partially ribbed surface.
EFFECT: use of this invention allows to maintain temperature during the period of thermal autonomy without consuming energy after thermal recharging.
