FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Granular fertilizer is characterized by fact that the granules have a round shape, are formed from agglomerated, water-soaked wood ash particles, have a nuclear-free structure with a densified surface layer, while the average strength of the granules is not lower than 3 MPa and the coefficient of softening is 2.2–2.6. Method for producing granular fertilizer is characterized by fact that it includes the formation of raw granules consisting of wood ash with addition of water carried out in a granulator mixer, next, pellets are pelletized on a pelletizer using water as a moisturizing component, allowing the granules to spontaneously roll over the side of the tray of the pelletizer.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of technical means in mineral fertilizers, helps to create a granular fertilizer with high consumer properties, the round granules of which are entirely (without the use of seed slag particles) formed from wood ash and possess the given properties – increased strength and simultaneously set softening coefficient, which leads to their faster destruction in the moisture contained in the soil (up to 2–3 years).
