FIELD: concrete production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for the production of high-strength granular aggregates for concrete based on technogenic raw materials. A method for producing high-strength aggregates for concrete from metallurgical industry waste includes grinding waste from the metallurgical industry, i.e. slag or sludge, granulating it on a disc granulator to obtain spherical granules and hardening. Grinding is carried out to a specific surface of 260-320 m2/kg. The dispersed material obtained after grinding is fed to a disc granulator while simultaneously sprinkling it on the granulator plate with water in an amount of 5 to 8 wt.% of the mass of ground industrial waste from the metallurgical industry to form spherical raw granules by rolling to a size of 5 to 20 mm. After granulation, the raw granules are divided into separate fractions: 5-10 and 10-20 mm. Hardening of these individual fractions is carried out in a forced carbonization chamber in a gas-air environment, the concentration of carbon dioxide in which is from 30 to 95 vol.%, for a time of 1 to 6 hours depending on the size of the granules. Steel smelting slag, electric steel smelting slag, blast furnace waste slag, converter sludge or nepheline sludge are used as technogenic waste from the metallurgical industry.
EFFECT: increase in the physical and mechanical properties of granules, recycling of the metallurgical industry waste.
