FIELD: power supply.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to power supply systems for electric traction networks. Traction station contains an input distribution unit connected to the primary power supply system, a converter unit connected to an output of the input distribution unit. Output of the converter unit is connected to the input of the output distribution unit, the output of which is the feeders of the traction network. Input distribution unit is made for connection to the pipeline system. In input the converter unit contains a series-connected engine and a generator, to which a normalizing unit is connected. Normalizing unit is made in the form of an autotransformer or a transformer whose output is the output of the converter unit. Generators synchronize the phases of the output voltages, not only within the given station, but also with the voltage phases of adjacent stations, at least at one side. Under this scheme the generator is single-phase. For the DC traction station, the normalizing unit contains an AC to DC converter, and the generator is multi-phase.
EFFECT: technical result of the inventions is reduction of energy losses and absence of the distortion of shape of the current consumed.
