SUBSTANCE: invention relates to supply of electric power to electric networks. Method of amplifying the power supply system of a double-track section of an AC railroad railway using a five-wire symmetric autotransformer traction network consists in the following. Voltage is supplied to contact networks of the first and / or second path by means of alternating voltage source. Circuit is electromagnetically connected from the contact network of the first track and the feed wire of the first track by means of two windings of the autotransformer and electromagnetically connects the circuit from the contact network of the second path and the supply wire of the second path by means of two other windings of the autotransformer. Electromagnetically connects circuits of contact networks of the first and the second paths relative to the track circuit. Output terminals of alternating voltage source are connected to contact network of one of paths or to contact network of both paths in opposition to track circuit.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of voltage losses and increase in distance between traction substations.
