FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for the oil and oil product spills on the water surface detection and monitoring devices testing under actual conditions. After the measurements stabilization, recording the tested device readings along with information on the film-forming agent layer thickness. In the absence of the tested device readings, adding the film-forming substance metered additional amount into the limited along the perimeter space. Repeating the operation until the device corresponding readings appearance. Based on the recorded data analysis, evaluating the tested device qualitative characteristics. This method implementation system consists of the tested instruments unit (1), oil and oil product spill imitation unit (2), signals receiving unit (3), analyzer unit (4), personal computer (5), film-forming substance supply unit (6).
