SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of marine licensed areas, in particular to improving environmental safety and preventing pollution of the marine environment and biota by oil during well construction and oil production. For this purpose, artificial reefs are installed in the water area of a stationary offshore platform on the seafloor simultaneously with the development of the field and before drilling and production of oil, forming an echeloned protective closed barrier of several concentrically located belts, the number of belts must be at least two, and the artificial reefs should be uniformly placed with an interval on concentric belts in staggered order. To maintain the geometry of the belts of the echeloned protective barrier, artificial reefs are installed on the seabed using a GPS satellite navigation system.

EFFECT: technical result is improved environmental safety of the development of offshore hydrocarbon fields, increased efficiency of self-cleaning of the marine environment and increasing local biodiversity, prevented pollution and improved marine environment and biota in the construction of wells and oil production, the use of artificial reefs as a bioindication of marine pollution.
