FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Cartridge with fastening elements comprises a cartridge body comprising fastener cavities, fasteners at least partially stored within the cartridge body, and a layer positioned over the cartridge body. Layer includes a proximal portion protruding with respect to the seats for fastening elements that can resiliently support the tissue after the implantation of the layer. Distal end of the layer may protrude with respect to the distal end of the cassette body and include a distal portion that projects with respect to the seats for the fastening elements disposed in the cassette housing. Distal portion is located opposite to the attached tissue and elastically supports the tissue after the layer is implanted close to the tissue.
EFFECT: invention can be used for surgical stapling.
