SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motor transport. Pneumatic tire (10) includes two first main grooves (11) extending in the circumferential direction of the tire formed from opposite tire-defined outer sides of the first contact portion, which includes the equatorial plane (E) of the tire; two second main grooves (12) extending in the circumferential direction of the tire located further outward in the tire width direction than first major grooves (11); auxiliary grooves (31), which are located on the second contact areas located between first main grooves (11) and second main grooves (12), and which open into respective first main groove (11) or corresponding second main groove (12) and terminate within the respective second contact portion. Each of auxiliary grooves (31) bends in the bent portion and includes first auxiliary groove (31A), which extends from the open portion to the curved portion, and second auxiliary groove (31B) that extends from the curved portion to the completion end.
EFFECT: improved performance in driving on snow and on wet roads, and also improved quietness.
