SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hot melt adhesive. Hot melt adhesive (HMA), which is a solid at room temperature, contains the reaction product of 5 to 25% by weight of an isocyanate component having an NCO content of from about 20 to about 50% by weight, from 75 to 85% by weight of the polyester and from 1 to 10% by weight of a hydroxyl polymer comprising a reaction product of a combination of monomers comprising at least one styrenic monomer and at least one acrylate monomer, wherein said hydroxyl polymer has OH number of from about 40 to about 50. Method for forming an adhesive includes the step of combining an isocyanate component, a polyester and a hydroxyl polymer to form an adhesive.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to use an adhesive at lower temperatures and to improve the physical and chemical properties of the adhesive.
