FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing an isocyanate functional polymer component. The method for manufacturing an isocyanate functional polymer component includes the manufacture of the first mixture by mixing a recycled polyurethane product in a solid form and the first isocyanate component with isocyanate functional groups. Then, the first mixture is heated to a temperature sufficient to convert the recycled polyurethane product in a solid form into a recycled polyurethane product in a liquid form. The interaction of the recycled polyurethane component in a liquid form with the first isocyanate component is carried out at a temperature from 50 to 350 centigrade for a time from 1 to 48 hours to form an isocyanate functional polymer component. At the same time, the content of isocyanate functional groups (NCO content) of the isocyanate functional polymer component is more than zero and less than the NCO content of the first isocyanate component. Moreover, the NCO content of the isocyanate functional polymer component and the NCO content of the first isocyanate component in each case are determined according to the ASTM D2572 standard. In this case, the specified recycled polyurethane product is selected from a recycled thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) product, a recycled microcellular polyurethane foam (MCU) product or a mixture thereof.
EFFECT: simplification and increase in the efficiency of the method for introducing recycled polyurethane products into new polyurethane products.
