FIELD: separation; mixing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water-resistant compositions for the adsorption of volatile organic compounds. Composition comprises a palladium-doped hydrogen form of ZSM-5 in which the Si:Al ratio for the hydrogen form of ZSM-5 is equal to or less than 200:1, as well as a water-soluble binder. Water-soluble binder is selected from the group consisting of at least one polyvinyl alcohol having Mw from 80,000 to 205,000 and degree of hydrolysis of ≥80% or Mw from 27,000 to 205,000 and degree of hydrolysis of 98% or 99% or higher, guar gum, gum arabic, 2-hydroxyethylcellulose, hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), and polyethylene oxide having Mw from 100,000 to about 1,000,000. Use of a composition for preserving agricultural products in the form of an article or a preparation is disclosed.
EFFECT: invention provides high water resistance of the composition, particularly when used at relatively low temperatures.
