FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to electronic engineering. Method for supplying power voltages to the electron-optical converter consists in periodically feeding pulses of positive or negative voltage to the photocathode at a fixed input potential of the microchannel plate, changing the duration of this pulse, which corresponds to the working cycle of the electron-optical converter, to the input of the microchannel plate, and a second voltage pulse, similar in the amplitude of the photocathode pulse with an adjustable delay, is additionally supplied to the input of the microchannel plate, time interval value of the delay is determined between the leading edges of the first pulse supplied to the photocathode and the second pulse supplied to the microchannel plate.
EFFECT: increased dynamic range, ability to form short time intervals for active operation of the electron-optical converter.
