FIELD: physics, photography.
SUBSTANCE: invention deals with design of a photoelectronic device. The technical effect is due to deployment of a technique of pulse voltages control carried out simultaneously with the photocathode and the microchannel plate. Based on the technology proposed there has also been power supply unit designed for an electro-optical converter including a microchannel plate voltage switch and the latter's feedback amplifier that operate simultaneously and in synchronism with the photocathode voltage switch.
EFFECT: reduction of power consumption by a factor of 2,3÷3,2 without imaging quality impairment.
