FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely to methods for testing the effectiveness of plant growth regulators using optical characteristics, since the amount of metabolites produced during the germination of seeds characterizes the degree of their germination. To do this, aqueous solutions of test and control seeds cultivation are irradiated with a 514.53 nm line of an argon laser and Raman spectra consisting of an unchanged spectrum of Raman water and photoluminescence (PL) of metabolites depending on the concentration of metabolites in the aqueous culture solution are recorded. Area under the PL spectrum trace is proportional to the concentration of the substance in the solution, which allows to determine the increase or decrease in the concentration of metabolites in the test solution as compared to control.
EFFECT: invention provides a quick and economical primary screening of choice of plant growth stimulants.
