FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for welding melting of aluminum alloys of Al-Mg, Al-Zn-Mg and other systems. Alloy contains compounds in the following ratio, wt. %: magnesium 4.0–6.2; manganese 0.3–0.9; beryllium 0.0001–0.005; zirconium 0.06–0.25; scandium 0.06–0.28; chromium 0.002–0.25; titanium 0.008–0.16; vanadium 0.002–0.08; nickel up to 0.1; iron 0.02–0.3; silicon 0.01–0.25; boron up to 0.02; copper 0.005–0.2; the rest is aluminum, with Zr + Sc + Cr + Fe being not more than 0.9 % by weight.
EFFECT: alloy provides simultaneous increase in strength and plasticity of weld metal at low (cryogenic) temperatures, which reduces structures weight, increase in service life and reliability of welded structures, for example, storage tanks for LNG storage and reduce intermediate annealing in production of welding wire.
