FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic solution is described for the recovery of the corneal epithelium. Ophthalmic solution consists of an aqueous solution containing from 1% to 10% by weight of arabinogalactan, with the aqueous solution containing no preservative. Said arabinogalactan is arabinogalactan derived from larch and belonging to a pharmaceutically acceptable category. Ophthalmic composition of the invention is used as an artificial tear, recommended for people using contact lenses.
EFFECT: in addition to good tolerability, the aforementioned compositions have considerable re-epithelisation capacity.
