FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology; it is intended for the treatment and/or prevention of eye diseases. A sterile ophthalmological composition in the form of nano-emulsion contains an oil phase containing castor oil and medium-chain triglyceride; one or several surfactants; and an aqueous phase. A pH value of the specified composition is 5.0-9.0. Castor oil and medium-chain triglyceride are in a mass ratio from 50:1 to 1:50. The composition does not contain cyclosporine A. The use of the specified composition for the production of a drug for the treatment and/or prevention of eye diseases is also provided. Besides, a method for the prevention and/or treatment of eye diseases is presented, including injection to a patient of the effective amount of the specified composition. Eye diseases are: dry eyes, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, blepharitis, entropion, dangling eyelid syndrome, ophthalmopathy caused by thyroid disease, pterygium, conjunctivochalyasis, damage to the epithelium or anterior chamber, lack of limbal cells, corneal ulcers, keratitis, episcleritis and uveitis.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions allows increasing the efficiency of the treatment of the specified eye diseases.
