SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry. Method for developing high-viscosity oil includes the construction of pairs of horizontal production and injection wells above one another, as well as vertical observation wells, injection of coolant through injection wells with heating of the reservoir and creation of a steam chamber, product is extracted by steam-gravity drainage via production wells, steam chamber conditions being monitored. Development is carried out by adjusting the current size of the steam chamber by changing the volumes of injection of the coolant into the injection wells and taking the liquid out of the production wells with the control of the volume of the steam chamber. Construction in the zones of least warm-up between production wells is higher than the bottom of the formation or the water-oil contact level – WOC is not less than 2 m in the additional well, through which the coolant is pumped to create a thermodynamic connection with the nearest pairs of horizontal wells with the subsequent transfer to the selection of products. Above the additional well in the zone of the least warm-up, but at a distance that excludes the breakdown of the coolant, an additional injection well is constructed through which the coolant is pumped after the start of the extraction from the additional well in a volume that ensures uniform distribution of the steam chamber around the wells and maintaining the necessary temperature for the selection of products in the additional well.

EFFECT: increase in extraction and sweep coverage by including in the development of unaffected zones, ensuring a uniform production of oil reserves with the maintenance of an optimum temperature for the selection of products in an additional well, a decrease in the steam oil ratio by a factor of 1_3, and a reduction in the costs of heating the reservoir.
